The city space, its dynamics, and the aesthetisizing of the latter form a leitmotif of the German history of modernity. By means of a journey through some of the most destroyed cities and their catchment areas during the second world war, HANNES BÖCK’s (*1974) film “brd” looks at those landscapes which stand for the specific climate of West-German capitalism.
