Rani radovi reveals the breaks within the Yugoslavian society at the time of Titoism. The incompatibility of the revolutionary, utopian parts in society with those representing the archaic and rural is shown in a drastic way. Mysteries of Disco and Tesla 21 deal with the social aspects of modernism. A part of Mysteries is the remake of a scene from W. R. – Misterije organizma by Dusan Makavejev. The speech of the protagonist is a collage of texts by Wilhelm Reich and can be seen as a paraphrase of political speeches in general. Tesla 21 was shot in New York, the Croat village Gospic, and Belgrade; it follows the paths of the inventor Nikola Tesla, who developed the first alternating current motor. Tesla was born as a Serb in Croatia and spent most of his life in New York. (Marko Lulic)
