Rounding off the exhibition “Re: MODERN,” about forty books from the fields of art history and art theory - guarded by two display dummies - will invite to look up backgrounds and cross-references. HEIMO ZOBERNIG’s (*1958) approach goes back to a discursive discussion of modernism and its diverse isms by ironically exaggerating the plain topic “book table” and the, in such a way, selected and depicted art historian reappraisal in the sense of broken functional design.
