In his computer-based installation, the artist and media theorist LEV MANOVICH combines video sequences, script, graphics, music, and spoken text to a multi-dimensional narration. He falls back upon elements of different avant-garde tendencies of the 20th century such as Dziga Vertov’s (1896–1954) radical documentary cinema, the geometric image compositions of the Dutch De Stijl group (1917–1939), or the body of rules of Dogma 95, and contemporary info design.
